I just bought a copy of What's the Time, Grandma Wolf? by Ken Brown. It is delightful--a different twist--and the ending is very satisfying for young children. A couple of good books I can think of are The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by John Scieszka and The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig by Eugene Trivizas. I also recently discovered a great book by the name of Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude by Kevin O'Malley. Hope this helps!
