Am I the only one who hates having the public library fiction collection divided by genre? The public library I worked at in high school (25 years ago) had the mysteries in a seperate section way back then. My local public library just made that switch and I dislike it. Why is Grisham in the regular fiction but Evanovich in the mysteries? Who decides? Does a mystery have to have an actual detective? I suppose Grisham is more suspense than mystery.... At least when we seperate series books, there is a clear method to our madness.... Thanks for allowing me to vent Molly Clark Intermediate Librarian Michael Maroun Elementary School Phoenix, NY mclark2@phoenix.k12.ny.us "I really didn't realize the librarians were, you know, such a dangerous group. They are subversive. You think they're just sitting there at the desk, all quiet and everything. They're like plotting the revolution, man. I wouldn't mess with them." But, many public libraries are doing that nowadays. -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
