I am enjoying reading the posts on Sounds. The duck sounds like a lot of fun. My media center is mostly self check out and I added some sounds this year. If a student has an overdue book, they hear "Uh-Oh!". If they are 'good to go', they hear "Good". If you scan too fast, the computer growls at you. It has definitely cut down on my overdue problems with both students and teachers checking out books or thinking they have checked out a book when it didn't record because there was an overdue item. I have Follett and there are several preloaded sound schemes or you can import your own. It may not work for everyone, but it seems to have my library run a little more smoothly. ===== Cheryl Youse, MLS Media Specialist Hatherly Elementary School 35201 Davison Sterling Heights, MI 48310 586-825-2880 cyouse_cgs@yahoo.com __________________________________ Celebrate Yahoo!'s 10th Birthday!
