I am able to set the parameters and and temporarily deactivate the filter on individual machines in the library, since it was set up in here independent of the network (Hallelujah!), but the filter still defeats me at times. There is a section in the options to list all words that should be PERMANENTLY BLOCKED, but there is not a section for words to NEVER be blocked. The latest "funny." A student doing research on the artist Camille Pi**arro was blocked from all web sites. I am guessing because of the first four letters? (I have used stars instead of s, so that this e-mail is not blocked to some of you!) It might be fun to share some of the sites that have been blocked in your library. We could have a subject of "Filter Follies."
