Regarding this comment:

It is my understanding that the materials scheduled for scanning by
Goggle are only books that are in the public domain. If that is the
case - then current reference offerings will NOT be available. I know
many people think that this new project of Google's is going to put
virtually everything available in libraries online for free. I don't
think this is actually the case. If you know differently - please let
us know.

Below are responses I received regarding Gale's ebooks. Will probably
purchase a few as the teachers who saw them were very impressed. I
would
anticipate that any technical problems with be overcome with time.
