Dear librarians,

I would LOVE to be able to read all my books cover to cover when I purchase
them. I even have an aide after 25 years in the library alone, and still
don't have a quarter of the time one would need. As a matter of fact
reading every book would be the only way to be sure of of "no foul language
written or spoken". If asked however, could one come up with a list of
objectional terms?

How could it possibly be comprehensive?

Would the list violate it's own rule?

What about words that are used in differently in different contexts?

Could you justify closing the library to patrons until all the current
collection was read?

How long would that take with 15,000 items?

Could you close every time you get new books without the faculty going
ballistic?
     {Mine freak over the time needed at the end of the year}

Think of the fun! Think of the complaints!

Feeling rather empty-headed on Friday afternoon,

Cindy

p.s. Have a wonderful weekend.
