Texas LM_NETters! I have a student teacher who has her ALA Certified MLS degree and will hold an Illinois Teaching certificate K-12 for Library/Media Specialist. She will be looking for a Media Specialist in a public school in the San Antonio area. She was wondering about the application and certification process for your state. When she talked to a certification specialist at the Texas State Board of Education, she was told she had to either have been a school librarian here for three years or she would have to be certified in Texas, which includes two years of teaching in a Texas school. Is anyone familiar with this or have any comments or suggestions about this issue? Thanks for all the information, Kim -- Kim Miller, Information Specialist Community Consolidated SD #46 Grayslake Middle School 440 North Barron Blvd. Grayslake, IL 60030 miller.kim@d46.org 847.543.5820 -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
