I wondered the same thing....but purchased a version of these games for PowerPoint (through FTC Publishing--- http://www.ftcpublishing.com ) When I went online to search for the information to order the books / software, I found PPT programs already available including one from a Regional Service Center (here in Texas) that offered them "free of charge"---still, I wonder. However, I do have my book with the directions to make the PPT games including those for Jeopardy, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, etc. (but I won't be posting it on the Internet...only for use in the classroom / library with my students). I have seen many Jeopardy game powerpoint templates online and am currently in the process of designing my own for teachers in my district to use. As I did this, I started wondering what the copyright implications were. Can I call the game Jeopardy? I am assuming I can't use the Jeopardy sound effects. I have numbers in the squares not dollars.... can I still use 100 - 500? The game will be used for face to face instruction/review--- however, what are the ramifications if we start posting these teacher made games online for students to review at home? Thank you in advance for your advice and input. I look forward to hearing your feelings about this situation and any recommendations you may have.
