All of which can be set up through the permissions. Our students have
to log on to use a computer; their permissions do not allow them to
access any of the settings.

My OPAC's come up even tighter, when I log them on, they come up as a
dumby station really that the only thing the students can do is use the
Library access and hit a printer.

Deep Freeze changes the settings back to what *you* specified when the
computer was "frozen" during the Deep Freeze set up. You can unfreeze
the
computer, change what you need or want to, then refreeze the
computer...Deep Freeze will return the computer to those settings that
you
as administrator changed. A companion product of theirs (Cooler, I
believe
its called) will allow you to hide or disable any command or menu
function. I used Deep Freeze for years, and while it was a tad
cumbersome
to unfreeze/refreeze, it worked very well...almost bullet-proof.

Hope this helps.
