We are having a serious overdue problem here in our high school LMC. There are currently 1100 overdue books out. Some of these overdue since October. We do a couple policies to encourage kids to get books back in. Students cannot have overdues and check out a book. Notices are delivered on a regular basis to classrooms for students. This is not working. The only ideas I have heard from other librarians have come from the elementary school, but due to the difference in clientele, I have my doubts about how well they can be applied at the high school level. I really need secondary appropriate suggestions! We are a large school, 1300 kids. Many thanks in advance!!!
