TARGET setting up a small library from scratch My teacher daughter was told to set up a small library (they have never had a library) for her small special needs school. They were awarded a $10,000 grant. Thank you for all your help on what to purchase to get started. Now she has another question that I hope you can help her with: She realistically can only order about 300 books. Most of the students read on a second and third grade reading level, even though the school is K-8. What are your ideas on the percentage of books in each genre that she needs to buy? The Follett representative said to come up with a percentage in each genre and she has no idea. The students have environmental, oppositional and defiant disorders and have been removed from their own schools. Newberry % Caldecott % Mass Framework % Easy Reader % Juv Fiction % Non Fiction % = Animals, Transportation, Disasters, Sports, Cars, Poetry Any others % Thank you so much Gail Borio Christian Academy of Knoxville Knoxville, TN gaborio@esper.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
