This month's Surf Report from Wisconsin ECB takes you on a guided tour of
the more violent side of nature, featuring Web sites about tsunamis,
earthquakes, volcanoes, forest fires, avalanches, drought, floods, tornadoes
and hurricanes. Whether it's the 2004 Asian Tsunami or the 1871 Peshtigo
Fire, natural disasters have a way of capturing our imagination, and can be
a great way to get students interested in scientific concepts.
