Here's a compilation of the suggestions I received. Thank you all for your assistance. 1. Try http://www.riverdeep.net/products/foolproof/security.jhtml * I haven't used it but we used KidDesk and I think this is further down the evolutionary chain from it. 2. Create a user group just for students with the same login i.d. and password and set the permissions or properties to restrict what they can access and what they can download. You may need your district technical person to do this for you. 3. With the DeepFreeze program, you can get an add-on feature called Cooler that does this.
