[LM_NET] OT: United States Achievement Academy--valid?

Hi,all,

My guidance counselor, sent by my principal (meaning
I'd better find out the answer to keep that
credibility factor up) came in with a mailing from the
United Stated Achievement Academy which sounds very
much like an alternative Who's Who in American Schools
for students and teachers. It offers scholarships,
$860,000, up to $1500 for National Award Winners.

A Google search on the director and the academy found
mostly press releases on individual students who won
the "distinction."

Have any of you know if your school has participated
in this program? Is it legit? I'd appreciate any
feedback you have after bragging about the power of
the LM_NET online community. Please reply off list.
