Already I am getting lots of feedback from you - thank you. Please keep it coming. I thought you might like to try one of the short tasks I set daily. Put 7 letters (usually 4 consonants and 3 vowels, but increasingly more difficult each day) on the rack and the students have to make the highest-scoring word they can (it has to be in a particular dictionary I have supplied) and then submit this. The playing board has double and triple letter and word score squares as well as the bonus 50 points for using all the letters. There are daily and weekly prizes and they love it. Just another way of encouraging spelling.
