[LM_NET] Texas only: Education bill pending.....

The projected time line for the Senate's deliberations calls for testimony on HB 2 
today (March 29) and  on the 31st from various groups.  On April 5th and 7th, the 
Senate is set to layout their version of HB 2 with action set for April 21st and 
22nd.  Then, they plan to vote on HB 3 on May 5th.  Depending on differences in the 
Senate's version from the House's the House could then vote on May 9 and the 
conference committee would begin immediately thereafter.  It is when it reaches the 
conference committee that the final version will be ironed out and then quickly 
voted on without time for input or consideration of the real impact.
There is still time for you to make your opinions known to the leg.
