I am looking for documentation and librarians' experiences related to non air-conditioned libraries during the summer months. My district is preparing to upgrade the a/c in 8 of our schools this summer. This means 8-weeks of hot (in the high 90s), humid (at least 99-00 % daily) weather for our collections. The current administrative response to my concerns is that the evidence shows that the books will not be significantly damaged. Such evidence has not been produced and I remain quite concerned re my school's collection. Any information you would be willing to pass on to me regarding this issue would be most appreciated. Thank you, Lise Van Borssum Lise_Vanborssum@gisd.org Librarian C. B.
