I just got a renewal notice for Forbes. I can get a one year renewal for
$29.95 or a two year renewal for $59.95. The letter says "Choose a short
term and great savings, or a longer term and even greater savings."
Since the two-year plan costs five cents MORE than twice the one-year
plan, I'm guessing that the "great savings" comes from the postage stamp
that won't be needed next year. Assuming that postage doesn't go up,
I'll have a net savings of 32 cents by going with the two-year plan!
That comes out to about .5%.
