Dear LM_NET Colleagues, That was a very helpful posting. If you are faced with low/no budget as many of us are here in California, you might want to look at some free resources. Here are two that I find quite helpful. AllMusic.Com http://www.allmusic.com/ A phenomenally thorough and all-encompassing guidebook/directory to many aspects of music. Search and explore by Genre, Mood, Theme, Country and Instrument. If you love music, this is a site that you can forget time in! Many, many links to audio sample and authoritative articles about composers, groups, recordings and music history. Free password required. BBC Artist Profiles (includes composer info too) http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/profiles/ Browse by genre; and search over 15,000 in-depth biographies, discographies and a host of features and micro sites from around the BBC.
