Hi, In our summer challenge program grades 9-12, the students read a book and we have "academic" work 3 times a week in the mornings. Last year we read "Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night" which satisfied both our humanities class and our science class. We are looking for another book that has both literary merit and some kind of scientific merit like that one did. Does anyone have any suggestions? It should be relatively normal length--400 pages or more will probably be too much. Thanks in advance.
