[LM_NET] Newberry reading list

Dear experts:

I have spent a lot of time collecting almost all of the Newberry award
winners.  I was thinking of having a reading promotion (like we do in
Texas with the Bluebonnet list) to have students read the books.  Do any
of you do this and what suggestions would you make?  How would kids
prove they read the whole book?  What awards could/should I offer?
