Hello all,

I have received responses from two people concerning my posting about
"penpals in the media center." I think it is a fun idea and a few people
have asked me to assemble a "hit" on what I have gotten so far. I am still
interested in hearing from others who have started penpal projects in their
media center, whether it is positive or negative, and also would like to
know if the students enjoyed it.
Thank you Chris and Josephine for the following responses:

Resources for finding keypals online. All but 2 links are still active

Here is an online article about my "adventures" with pen pals

And, to remind everyone of my initial posting, it is as follows:

"I like the idea of e-mail penpals, as a way to get children use to e-mail,
and to exchange ideas, book selections, projects etc., with classes in other
locations. I've only read just a bit about implementing the penpal idea and
wondered if anyone else has done this successfully in their media center.
(Or unsuccessfully if that is the case). This would be in a K-8 school."

Thanks again,
