For information on criteria, a rationale, suggested titles to consider for weeding, and titles to consider for purchase, go to this section of the SUNLINK web site: http://www.sunlink.ucf.edu/weed/ A brief explanation of Weed of the Month for new LM_NET members: The SUNLINK Weed of the Month began in September 1997, as an effort to help provide Florida's School Library Media Specialists with guidelines and suggestions for weeding their collections a little at a time as well as adding quality materials. The project idea and specific suggestions came from media specialists around the world via LM_NET. A section of a school library media collection is identified each month during the school year as a weeding target.
