Just catching up on this thread. As a former bookstore manager I come down heavily on the no side of arranging fiction in libraries by genre. If our priority is access that is a sure way not to find what you are looking for. Great for browsing painful when looking for a specific title. As noted by others many books fall in more than one category. I am in love with those genre stickers and try to put them on when ever possible but the truth is just because you love sports books you may not love all sports books.
