Hi everybody, As part of his work with MindUniversity, a teacher at my school*Dan Fouts*is currently piloting an Information literacy program for faculty called Building Bridges. This grant-funded program is modeled after the research of Keith Curry Lance who has found that high achieving schools are ones that utilize technology to involve librarians in the teaching and learning process. As “web coaches” in Building Bridges, librarians are actively involved with helping teachers use technology to organize and present information. Several of the teachers at my school use the technology in this program and many have found it to be useful in enhancing their information-literacy skills. Dan and his assistant Frank Houston are looking for librarians who want to get involved in this pilot! If you are interested in a short phone demonstration of the technology and/or to learn more about Building Bridges, please send a reply to this e-mail to ( frankhouston@minduniversity.com ) with the following information: (1) name, (2) school name, (3) phone number (4) convenient time of day (and date if possible) when you would like to be called for a 15-minute phone demonstration--please be at an internet-connected computer. Thanks, Geralyn B.
