The School Media Center/Library is a place that should be frequented by the entire school body, but unfortunately that is not the case in every school since "time is of the essence" to complete all those other "required" things that can be completed/learned possibly better and more interestingly in the library. I am writing a report and will be delivering a presentation to my graduate class on how marketing a school library can help a to achieve its goals. I see the goal to be to inspire, educate, stimulate, and accentuate educational abilities of the students and faculty by opening their eyes to an "outside-of-the-textbook" approach. If anyone has any marketing ideas or thoughts on how to target our "pressed-for-time" students, teachers, or administrators, I would appreciate reviewing them. I will of course, list a HIT of responses and if desired can also submit a copy of the final paper.
