Here are the responses I received. Thanks to everyone for their help. A couple of years ago, I developed a survey that asked students to analyze questions and select the appropriate answer. It allows me to analyze their question analysis skills, ability to identify the main idea, and their knowledge of different resources. If you want to look at it, go to http://www.teacherweb.com/MD/GreenbeltMiddle/AmyYoung-Buckler/Response1.stm. I hope this helps. Amy Young-Buckler Library Media Specialist/Technology Coordinator Greenbelt Middle School Greenbelt, Maryland Hi Deborah. I'm a new middle school library media specialist teaching a research and library skills class for the first time this semester. I'm attaching the mid-semester exam that I gave my students a few weeks ago. I'm going to use a lot of these questions for a pre-test next semester so I can gauge what my new group already knows before I start lessons! The call number multiple choice question is blank in the Word document because I drew in several call number options. I hope this test helps.
