Here is a display idea that might work for for others. We call it 'Teacher's Picks.' I asked the teachers and staff to pick some of their favorite books for the display. I made up bookmarks, that are mostly blank, so teachers can write notes about the books on it. To support this, I make "Indian Lake Reads" posters that emulate the ALA posters --- featuring a picture of the teacher/staff. I tried to personalize the posters. Like the the guy that kayaks, I put a picture of a kayaker behind his picture. One teacher brought in a picture of her reading to her kids. This went well with her books which were picture books. This display has really caught on with the teachers, they like to see what the other teachers are reading, but kids are grabbing some books too.
