Hi!

My target was books suitable for K/1 students on the importance of being on time
for school. Many thanks to all who responded!!

Here's what people suggested:

"It's Justin Time, Amber Brown" by Paula Danziger
"Time to ...." by Bruce McMillan
"Around the clock with Harriet: a book about telling time" by Betsy and Giulio
Maestro

There's an oldie but a goodie -- No School Today, by Cohen?
Characters are cats who dilly-dally on their walk to school, and
seeing no one when they arrive, turn around and head home, telling
everyone they meet on the way, that there is no school (including
telling the principal!). They get home, tell parents that school is
off, and then parents tell them, that they had arrived too early, and
if they hurry, can make it just in time... (which they do)

David Goes to School by David Shannon has one page where David is tardy. It is
similar to the No, David book. Good for use with K and 1.

The Secret shortcut by Mark Teague might work.

How about the student handbook? Just kidding! :-)

There is a book called Balloney by Lane Smith or Jon Scieszka that might
work. It is a little off the wall too.
