My wife and I are considering (for us) a radical step: dropping our land
line phone service and going entirely cell. Here's our situation: We are
empty-nesters, have a wireless Internet connection, and are in a rural
area, which means that calling someone more than a couple of miles away
is a long distance call. We already use the cell phone for long distance
calls, since that service is included in the price we pay. Here's the
question: have any of you gone completely wireless? If so, do you regret it?

At this point the biggest concern we have found is that if our wireless
Internet goes down we can still connect via dialup. If we go completely
wireless that won't be an option. It looks as if switching to two cell
phones and dropping the land line would be about equal in monthly cost
to what we are now paying for the one cell phone and the land line.
