Our district has asked the secondary media specialists to come up with some
professional devleopment topics that the media specialists would benefit from.
They want the PD time to be meaningful to our cohort group (4 middle school and 2
high school media specialists). Any ideas? I am so used to thinking about what I
can teach the teachers during PD time that I am at a loss. Since I am the only
media person in my building, PD time to me is very specific - the things I
want/need to learn for my building. I have no clue how to come up with ideas for
us as a group of individual media specialists at different levels. I considered
topics like weeding/deselection or creating a web page for each media center for
the students but I don't know if that is broad enough for the others. Thoughts?
