I realize that a media specialist needs to be the person in charge in
the library. But isn't it mainly about student achievement and more
opportunities for them to excel? A trained para can do many of the
things a media specialist can do. They can certainly circulate materials
and help students find what they need. Beyond that they may need the
guidance from a media specialist, but I am sure that they are not
ignorant.
