The remark that-- "online forums and 
blogs are less credible than online content posted by mainstream media 
outlets" --- is interesting.  I wonder how long it will take before this statement 
is considered obsolete, and the courts decide that online forums and blogs are 
considered to be the "voice of the people" and should be held with higher or equal 
credibility than those comments made by mainstream media?

Yesterday while I was at the We Media conference, the Delaware Supreme 
Court made an important ruling on the rights of Internet users to 
publish anonymous comments critical of public officials. The court ruled 
that anonymity should be protected, but determined that the statements 
in question weren't construed as defamation because online forums and 
blogs are less credible than online content posted by mainstream media 
outlets.
