Actually, I don't think this is so. I recently contacted audible.com
about recordings for my school library, and they sent me a 1-800 number
and a contact name who would "assist me is setting up a school library
account." I haven't called yet, but school library accounts must be
possible.

You cannot use audible.com to purchase audiobooks to circulate in a
library.
You may only purchase for personal use. I wish it was possible!!
