A department in our building owns a laser disk that accompanies a textbook. The teacher finds it difficult to use the laser disk and has asked us to transfer it over to VHS format. I need a quick answer. He is insistent that this is legal and is applying pressure. He was also unable to tell me if the disk is available for sale in another format. Is changing the format permissible in an educational setting? Thanks, Sara Sara Johnson, IMC Coordinator D. C.
