The recent post on wireless was helpful, but raised some questions for me. 1. What is the level of support for the schools where wireless is running smoothly and those where it is not? Are there wireless schools without fulltime, building level support? 2. How can security be maintained, particularly if students are allowed to access an intranet with their own laptops. Allowing students to use their own laptops would seem to be a good reason for going wireless, but not at the cost of security. 3. What are the pluses and minuses of laptop carts? Many of the responses cited cart problems, are carts needed at all? I will post a hit.
