Here was my original post:

Hello all:
We have a family whose father was injured on the job, almost
losing an arm. The 2 boys are having a rough time dealing with this. My
guidance counselor is looking for books to recommend to the parents to
help with this situation. She said is could be fiction or nonfiction.
The boys are 2nd and 5th grade. I haven't had much luck finding any
titles of this nature. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated

Here is the list of titles I received ... Thanks to all who replied

Nobody’s Fault by: Patricia Hermes
Picking Up the Pieces by Patricia
Leaving the Log House by Ainslie Manson
Head Over Wheels by Lee Kingman
Stranded by Ben Mikaelsen
Peeling the Onion by Wendy Orr
Paper Doll by Elizabeth Feuer
The Monument by Gary Paulsen
The Crazy Man by Pamela Porter

Take a look at http://www.compassionbooks.com to see if there are any titles there
that might help with the situation. They have a large listing of materials on
difficult subjects such as this.

Here's one book that might be of interest:
