HI - Recently did this with one of our 1st grade math classes that was working on numbers and counting. I started out with Over In the Meadow, read it once sang it the 2nd time (sort of sing-song) and then had the children join in. I put all our number and counting books out and the children could check one out. The teacher also took a bunch. The children took the books home for sharing and she was reading the others to the class. This was an opportunity to see the library as not just for reading. These are some of the books I used, but any in your collection would work: Carle, Eric. 1, 2, 3 to the zoo. Crews, Donald. Ten black dots. Giganti, Paul. How many snails? : a counting book. Voce, Louise. Over in the meadow : a traditional counting rhyme. Milios, Rita. Bears, bears, everywhere. Anno, Mitsumasa, 1926-. Anno's Counting book.
