Hello from Sunny South Africa!

I wondered if all you like-minded (library) folk would like to express your ideas
and feelings on the topic of online learning for librarians.

With technology advancing as fast as it is, it has of course become mandatory for
librarians to be computer literate and more so to be Internet savvy. I am
currently involved in an online course which is designed to help librarians acquire
this skill.

Have you experienced similar courses in your countries and how well does it work?
Is there a demand for this kind of elearning where you are, or do most people
simply learn from manuals and make do? How much demand is there in your libraries
for you to be able to assist learners in Internet research, word processing etc.?

Would love to read your responses,

Elize Dramowski
