I try my best to read all new fiction - and I usually succeed. I decided
years ago to get up at 4 AM every day - and read...and I can get a lot
accomplished that way. I also bring home several books a day - and try to
read at least 1 book a day. I also carry a book with me any place I go -
offices, etc. I also force myself to sit at least one period a day in the
library and do nothing but read...I just can't think about the work piling
up in my office.

It is one of the benefits and curses of this profession that there is never
time enough to read... I often, however, don't get past a few chapters of
some books - I can get a flavor of the book that way - but, let's admit it,
there are some books that "just don't appeal to me" but students might love
them.
