Dear LMTs - I'm looking for a website I stumbled across a week or so ago while I was looking for something else. At the time, it didn't meet my needs, but this week a teacher mentioned she would like to find out more about it. (I know, why didn't I bookmark it?) As I recall I was browsing through sites on information literacy and research skills. It had a flash movie that led students through the process of picking out the important facts for a report. I believe the example was about Illinois (?) and the narrator explained, along with a visual, how to ignore the small words and focus on the main facts and important words. Does anybody recognize this website? I spent two hours trying to recreate my searches, but can't even remember exactly when I saw it. Unfortunately, it's no longer in the browser history. Thanks for any help. Our fourth and fifth grade teachers have lots of work coming up with note-taking and looking for main ideas, so I thought I'd like to find this site again and really check it out properly!
