LM_NET Archive

I live in Central Louisiana and have recently housed 22 evacuees and a dog in my
home. I grew and was married in a suburb of N.O. At the moment, if you have access
to a shelter, volunteer time is what is needed, as well as certain material
supplies.( Adult underwear, adult socks, femine products, etc.) Monetary donations
are great also. Many churches are housing these families and would probably be
excited to receive any monetary donations as well as the Red Cross and other
agencies. Books and things could happen when these people can actually get into
their schools to clean and replace.

Add my small voice to Darlene's. We all want to help but let's not complicate
the situation. Books is not what those helpless people need right now. Let's
help in a more constuctive and basic way.
