This is an off-topic question so please respond to me offlist. I am the chairperson of the spirit committee at my son's school. They recently moved to a new building and changed their school name/mascot/school colors. We've sold t-shirt, hoodies, sweatshirts, and water bottles with the new logo on them with fair success. The president-elect of the school's PTA would like some ideas for next year to really boost school spirit and some fun activities/incentives we can do to get students to wear their spiritwear. Right now, students and staff wear their school shirts on Fridays and they hold a drawing for a water bottle (one for a primary student and one for an intermediate student) each week. This has caused some hard feelings among those who don't win and those whose parents won't buy a school shirt. So, my question is this: what are some activities and ideas that others in elementary schools do to help boost/encourage school spirit? Thanks! /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Brenda Young, MLIS Teacher-Librarian Rose Hill Elementary Omaha, NE brenda.young@ops.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
