I leave the call numbers of my career and college books as is. I have
rounded them all up and placed them in their own section. I bought
labels from DEMCO that say Careers and placed them below the call
numbers. In the catalog, I have altered the call number so it would
have a third line which says Career. And in the copy information, I
have put Career Section in the sublocation. I have about 300 titles.

I am using Follett and did a visual search icon for Career/College,
too. By leaving the call number intact and without a prefix, when I
do my reports, the titles are automatically computed in the correct
Dewey range for collection percentages and usage.

By leaving the call numbers as is, all the medical careers are
together, the construction careers are together, etc. If you make
them all the same number, they will become a big mish-mosh of titles
and subjects.
