[LM_NET] Elementary ideas for a "new" librarian

Next school year, I will be moving from the high school where I  have been 
for 16 years (9 as an English teacher, 7 as librarian) to an  elementary 
(K-6) school.  I would love to have some  ideas/projects/booktalks, etc, 
together before I get there, especially some  things for the beginning of 
school.  I would appreciate any ideas or links  you might be able to 
provide.
