This may be the dumb question of the month, but here goes.... If a disc comes to you in a plain wrapper, is there any way to tell if it is a CD, a CD-ROM, or a DVD? Someone emailed the list a couple of weeks ago that they had received a CD for DEAR day and it didn't work. Well, I put my disc in the CD player and it didn't work either. So I just assumed they were all bad. Now I find out it was a DVD! It never occurred to me... And I think I threw it away!!!! Is there any way to tell the difference without trying a CD player, then a computer, then a DVD player???? Thanks! Nancy Dickinson, Librarian Hillsboro Elem.
