Okay I know I am insane. However I am going to try to take my library club which now consists of 7 9th-11th grade girls to Washington DC May 2007 after graduation (possibly early June). One young lady who will be joining us in the fall (9th) and her mom a teacher at my school are planning to go with us. I am not the only adult. We need: fund-raising ideas esp how to get HEB, Wal-mart and other companies to anty up significant $$$ presentation to my superintendent ideas (I am nervous) Any other ideas you can think of or problems you can foresee Plus any information you have about a group called WorldStrides. Apparently this is a package deal where you come up with the money and they take care of everything from the plane tickets to the buses to meals to having someone sit up in the hall to make sure no kid sneaks out at night (the best part to me). Please feel free to contact me offline at Texasgrad92@yahoo.com (since I have run this by my principal but not my supt yet.) or over the listserves. All email is copyright protected.
