[LM_NET] MS book for all students

My 7th & 8th graders are going to be reading the same book and the teachers 
would like suggestions. Originally they were going to do Sharon Draper's 
'Tears of a Tiger' - until they read it. They thought it was too 'heavy' for 
some of the kids, not to mention some of our parents.They would like 
something that contains issues that middle school students can relate to, 
with high interest to all 7th & 8th graders, but not something that would 
be likely to be challenged.
