This is the time of year when we realize that graduation is just around
the corner. The Seniors are getting nostalgic - alternating between
excitement & sadness as they look forward to their new lives. Parents
and teachers alternate between thinking "Will they EVER leave?" and "Are
they READY to leave? Have I told them everything they need to know?"

As I think about the remaining 2 months - I would like the seniors to
leave with a gift from the library.

I can't afford anything fancy - just some parting advice as they begin
their "new lives". I would like to remind them that the library has
been there for them since the first time they walked through a library
door. I would like them to know that libraries will always be there for
them - no matter how old they get.

I have a list started - and would love to add your ideas. Please click
this article and let me know what you would add to the list I have
started:

"The Librarian, whose job is to heal ignorance, to keep life safe for
poetry and to put knowledge smack dab in the middle of the American
way."
