I just heard a novel way to dye Easter Eggs. Kathrine Herder our Rotation Book Librarian told me a method all you crafty people should try. Cut old or ugly ties into squares large enough to cover an egg. Cover the egg with the tie pieces, wrap the tie and egg tightly with a square of sheet, t-shirt or other white cloth and twist tie the top. Boil egg, tie and wrapper in water with 1/4 cup vinegar. Eggs are not just pastel any more. Some tie squares can be used more than once. Harry Willems, consultant Southeast Kansas Library System Harry Willems, Consultant Asst.
